Submission and Obedience

HOLINESS or HELL, ITS ANTITHESIS

Whether or not we think to acknowledge God and His intimate presence in every place and moment on earth, He is here. He is omnipresent--everywhere, instantaneously and simultaneously, always. That is why the Psalmist declared:

"Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, and Your right hand will lay hold of me." Psalm 139:7-10

Whether or not a person admits to God's presence around him, He still is there all the time, everywhere. Even those who have visited hell in out-of-body experiences to see and taste its awfulness were protected by God's presence that kept them safe and brought them back from death.

Even the devil and his minions function in God's presence while life exists on earth. Satan even has audience with God as disclosed in the book of Job. While the devil is restricted by God in what he is allowed to do in this world, God has given us prophecies in His Word that expose the limitations and directions in which the devil may operate and deceive.

While we live on this earth, God does all in His power to move every living soul into an intimate relationship with Him. As sinners against Him, we deserve death. From His mercy and love, God provided a substitute for us, so that Jesus paid the penalty for our sins so we can know God, live godly lives and live with Him forever in heaven.

He also gave us a free will. We can choose either to serve and obey God or to have our own way. If we opt to rebel against Him and be our own god, death and internment in hell is our sentence.

In this life, the holy fire of God purges us of our sin and cleanses us from all unrighteousness if we so choose. God's Spirit is that holy fire. Hell is the antithesis of God's holiness. Its flames are the direct opposite of God's purifying flame; hell is the outpouring of His wrath.

The Bible is very clear about FIRE: God says,

"Without holiness, no man will see God." Either a person will experience God's fire of cleansing and holiness while they walk the earth or else they will perish in the fire of being purged FROM the universe in hell and finally in the lake of fire!

Which is it for you? Is the purity of God's holy fire burning in your heart? Have your sins been purged? Or, are you holding out against God, unwilling to submit to His Lordship over you and your life? You, too, by your own choice, will taste the fire of God in hell, as He purges His creation of all that is sinful and unclean. Where you find the fire is up to you. Choose carefully. Your choice will determine your eternal destiny!
