Since childhood, I've known I would suffer when I was old. When in my 30s to 40s, the Holy Spirit gave me Matthew 10:18-20:
"On My account, you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. But when they hand you over, do not worry about how to respond or what to say. In that hour you will be given what to say. For it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you"--that means I'll be arrested or worse.
About six years ago on a day I was at the grocery store, I had an 'open' vision of a strip mall in the city where I used to live. It was bombed, burned and gutted! A man with an automatic rifle threatened anyone who would dare to approach. Absolute anarchy reigned and so did utter destruction of that city!
Soon after that vision, I had a second one in which I was standing in our kitchen and we had NO food! Nothing! Suddenly, a bag of groceries appeared on a chair near the door, but no one had delivered them. God did! I knew in that instant God would take care of us miraculously in the extreme circumstances that are coming.
Thus, I know we're in for awful times. DC is a wicked city and it's possible to feel the evil and demonic forces working to overthrow everything! God will work miracles, though, more and more! I am 83 years old at this writing and in good health. However, I am in the last years of my life, and as the violence and destruction of our moral fiber occurs by the day politically, it seems the judgment of the United States as we've known it is quickly coming to fulfillment.
However, visions such as the two I've described are our opportunity to pray against their happening. God gives visions that are real, that will come...unless we seize the revelations as an opportunity to intercede and sound the alarm so that people pray and change the face of our nation.
Jeremiah and Ezekiel were judged for being 'doom and gloom' prophets. God said the people of Judah would NOT listen, they would not repent, they would not do whatever it took to reverse or withhold what God said was coming...and they didn't!
Instead of listening to the truth the prophets declared, the people persecuted the messengers! That's usually how it happens. People reject the message and turn their hate on the messenger. They listen to false prophets instead, who predict good times and an easy future. Sadly, the people discover the truth of the message AFTER it's too late to reverse what was prophecied to them. Such was the case for Judah.
God is fair, a fair and merciful judge. Though both Jeremiah and Ezekiel suffered because of the messages they faithfully delivered as God's mouth pieces, through them God gave a witness to the people who would suffer if they did not change.
During this horrible season of COVID-19, God's church was given ample time to study His Word and to pray. The closer the election came to the fore, the more dire the situation became. Prophets told of dreams that showed incredible destruction that was coming! Those disclosures struck an alarm in God's faithful, who began to pray in earnest, seeking to be faithful to II Chronicles 7:14.
Then God began to speak to spiritual leaders to hold mass rallies to invoke God's mercy on America. Four rallies were held in Washington, DC, for example, on almost successive weekends in September and October. God heard, and things turned around.
We won't have an easy time for a while after the election is declared. But God loves those ready to riot if their candidate isn't finally declared the victor! He wants them to hear about His mercy and salvation for the first time. He wants to save their souls! What He will do to make that possible can't be seen yet.
Three times in Ezekiel 20, God claimed He would be merciful to Israel:
"for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom (Israel) lived, in whose sight I made Myself known to them by bringing them out of the land of Egypt"(v. 9);
"But I acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, before whose sight I had brought (Israel) out" (v. 14);
"But I withdrew My hand and acted for the sake of My name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations in whose sight I had brought (Israel) out" (v. 22).
Though America deserves the worst of judgment particularly for the murder of over 61 million babies, God has heard the cries of repentance from His Church and will turn the tide for the sake of His reputation and the proclamation of His name!
God's judgment has been deferred! Yet it still looms ahead. The Church dare not go back to 'status quo' again once things settle down. She must be about the King's business of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus and winning souls to His kingdom! We cannot afford to let down our guard ever again! If we do, horrible judgment waits for us! We must be transparent before God and love His will.
Pray, Church, pray!
