THE ONUS IS ON US!
We live in precarious times. Changes occur daily that we never expected to see--ever! Society is forsaking and rejecting moral practices that were the God-standard only a few decades ago. Our street are no longer safe. Our media are vulgar and filled with lewd statements and behaviors that make even immoral men blush.
Those of us who are aware of Bible prophecies know that these days were predicted centuries ago. Many of the predictions lay shrouded in mystery, waiting to be uncovered and explained at the proper time. That time is NOW!
Jesus laid out many warnings and symptoms of the Last Days in His teachings on the Mount of Olives in Luke 21 and Matthew 24-25. The book of Revelation, steeped in pictures and language descriptors that were mysterious until now are being unfolded before our eyes, just as the book of Daniel said would happen. We are in the Last Days!
Accompanying this progressive revelation of what is happening before our eyes as we watch God's prophecies come to pass is a decided and frightening decline in the knowledge of the Bible by professing church-goers. Statistics reveal that while church people say they are believers, they rarely read their Bibles, and, if they do, they do not spend time intensively studying it or meditating on its meanings. Thus, most believers are unprepared for what is coming soon.
God always has had a remnant of people who remain loyally true to Him and who read the signs of the times. To Ezekiel God gave the strict command: "I have appointed you a watchman...whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me...if you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand." (Ezekiel 3:17-18)
That is a frightening declaration and responsibility. Those of us who know the truth and see what's coming dare not fail to warn others around us or we are guilty of their blood if they perish when the prophecies come to pass. What God means is very concerning: does He mean we lose our souls because we did not warn our constituents or does it mean we lose our rewards in heaven? I do not know nor do I intend to find out experientially! I will not remain quiet!
Friends have tried to tone me down and say I'm too excited or worked up about this. But, suppose I found the universal cure for cancer. Do you suppose for one minute I would sit back at home sipping lemonade while around the world people were dying or being mutilated left and right by cancer surgeries and mitigating treatments? Not on your life!
I would be on the horn, on TV, in magazines and books, on podcasts proclaiming the cure and how to get it! My responsibility to declare what I knew would be as great as my strength and prowess would allow. "To whom much is given, much is required." I cannot be complacent when others are so close to the rim of a death-defining canyon. I must cry out. Time is running out!
As a fellow believer, you have a great responsibility to warn this generation, too! The onus is on us! If we do not cry out, no one will, and souls will be lost forever! Join me! We cannot fail our Savior!
