YOUR PURPOSE
I'm limited, God, but You are not.
I know so little; You know all.
You see the span of eternity,
Of it, you're King and LORD.
Insignificance is said of nought,
For You control it all.
Your purpose holds each thing that moves;
Change is of the plan.
And before time, You carved it out
To prove the One You are.
You test and prove Your very self
By what You here allow.
Each facet of creation's face
Tests You and Who You are.
You planned it thus,
And made me so,
That I appreciate its scope
And love, adore the One who
Loves unmeasured selflessly.
Yet, soon to come
Your wrath outpoured
On those who scorned Your grace
And trampled underfoot the Blood
In wanton hate, disgrace.
But heaven waits, Where You will pour
Your lavish love on those who love
You for Yourself and nothing more.
